Group Yoga Classes
ALL CLASSES ARE CURRENTLY ONLINE. Click here for more information and to register.
While the traditional method of yoga instruction is one-on-one with a teacher, modern economics of scale, and convenience, have made group classes the norm. While a group class has many advantages (see above), the practice is generalized and does not address specific individual needs.
For instance, in a class where one student has high blood pressure and another suffers from depression, some aspects of these issues may be covered and some benefit received. But, the maximum benefit of working to minimize these issues can not be obtained in a group setting.
The wise words of the sage Patanjali point to individual learning for the best results: The maximum benefits of a yoga practice can only be obtained when "the correct practice is followed for a long time, without interruptions, and with a positive attitude and eagerness" Yoga Sutra I.14.

In a Yoga Therapy session, your needs, goals and time constraints are thoroughly examined and a personalized practice is created for you. During your session you are guided through the practice and at the end, given clear illustrated instructions to take home with you.
