As someone who suffers from chronic back issues from years of Horse Riding and Snowboarding and the chronic stress of a busy life, yoga provides me with the most wonderful calm for both the mind and the body. When I moved to the area a couple of years ago, I spent many months trying different yoga classes, but none were the right fit for me. After my first class with Caroline, I knew I had found my new teacher! Caroline’s complete devotion to the practice is evident, her knowledge has obviously come from years of studying and dedication, not some “learn to be a yoga teacher in a weekend” course! Furthermore, Caroline is a kind and caring person who is genuinely interested in sharing her knowledge to help others. Thank you Caroline!!

I joined Yoga about 7 weeks ago. My sister and a friend have been trying to talk me into yoga for years and I had all the excuses in the world why that was not for me. Well, through my massage therapist I learned about Caroline and I decided to join. All I can say is that I am sad that I missed many years of yoga by not joining sooner. I feel great after every class and always look forward to the next one. I am starting to do Yoga at home as well and I am sad that summer break is just around the corner, but I will be back in the fall.

Caroline leads by example, bringing the deep commitment to her own practice into the room and allowing us to take from it what we can. She takes the time to get to know us personally – remembers all our names and body issues – and is patient and generous in her dealings with us. She grounds each lesson not in the postures but in the spiritual traditions of self-inquiry. With all the “fashionable” yoga teachers out there today, this is especially valuable – a teacher who lives from the core values.

Her classes are fun - full of energy - and her deep embrace of Spirit provides a subtle yet undeniable influence. I cannot overstate the significance of the transformation I have experienced with Caroline as my guide.

As my therapist in Thai Massage she seems to have the sixth sense; what my body must feel like to me. This is a tremendous gift for a healer to have. Every session is different as she responds creatively – in the moment – to the immediate experience of my response. Her touch is firm, penetrating, yet always sensitive enough to know where my shifting limits can be found. With her guidance I have discovered that my own personal intent to heal is as important as the physical work itself. In this way, we are truly partners on the path.

Thank you for introducing me to yoga. I struggled with back pain since delivering my son in 2007. I was seeing a chiropractor at least once a week until I took the Gentle Hatha Yoga class. I loved that the class was slow moving and that Caroline was very knowledgeable in offering comfortable modifications for people with mobility issues. I now include yoga stretches in my daily life and have been pain free (and chiropractor free) for months! Thanks and I'm looking forward to the start of May classes!
