Class Descriptions

Gentle Hatha Yoga - These classes include gentle stretches to increase flexibility and strength, breath work for relaxation and rejuvenation as well as meditation techniques to calm the mind. The small group setting is ideal for working with the specific needs of individuals in the class. All levels of student are welcome, including seniors and those new to yoga. Many posture modifications are offered to suit individuals' needs. Register for this class or go back to schedule.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga- For students looking for a more vigorous class, Vinyasa Flow explores postures from the Asthanga yoga series, bringing in wisdom and insight from other traditions (Scaravelli, Viniyoga). This includes forward bends, twists, side bends, balance poses, moderate backbends, inversions and sun salutations. All poses are linked with the breath as you learn to move gracefully from posture to posture. This is an intermediate class, suitable for those with some yoga experience. Intermediate Hatha Yoga - Explore body, mind and breath in a more challenging class where we hold postures longer and discover the sublte changes that occur as a result. Students should be familiar with basic yoga postures and breath work. Along with movement and breathing, we may also explore seated meditation and simple chanting. Therapeutic Yoga - We start each class, seated on chairs, with a series of postures and movements to gently stretch the body and release the joints. Breath work helps to calm the mind, and a long guided relaxation refreshes the spirit. This class is suitable for all levels of student, including those who may have restrictions in movement or are recovering from injuries. Yoga for Young People - Children benefit from greater focus, concentration, balance, body-mind awareness and flexibility. As well as doing yoga postures, children are taught mindfulness tools for everyday life, using stories and visualization, and simple breath awareness practices to help calm and centre a restless mind. Family yoga - Bring a child or two (any age) to yoga, and we'll explore postures, breath exercises and guided relaxation that both adults and kids can enjoy and benefit from. Register for this class or go back to schedule

Early Morning Yoga -An early morning class to energize and ease you into your day. Register for this class or go back to schedule

Advanced Yoga - This class is for yoga teachers and serious students of yoga. We will explore more advanced postures, such as arm balances, inversions, deep backbends and more, as well as pranayama techniques, and chanting to enhance the practice. Kirtan, Yin Yoga and Meditation - Kirtan is a call and response chanting practice. It a can be deeply meditative and heart opening, the perfect start to a Yin Yoga practice. Yin Yoga is a slow and gentle practice, characterized by holding postures for several minutes each allowing us to sink into deeper levels of our anatomy and psyche. It is a mindful practice providing the time to become truly present with the body in each pose. The postures in Yin Yoga are mostly aimed at releasing the hips and lower back to prepare the body for sitting comfortably in meditation. The class will end with a short mindfulness meditation session. Register for this class or go back to schedule

Online classes - A variety of classes are offered online, including Yoga Asana (movement) classes, Vedic Chant and Somatic Sound Awareness, Meditation, one-on-one yoga therapy, and more. See workshops for more online classes. When you register for the class, you will be sent a link to download Zoom ( and another link to join the particular class that you've registered for. All you need is a computer, smart phone or tablet connected to the internet.
